Good thing the ducks were hungry

We came prepared to feed a whole lake of ducks today. I told the kids that Friday was going to be nice and sunny so we could go to the duck pond to feed the ducks and play at the park. They were so excited. They LOVE to feed the ducks. So when we were at the store a few days before they made sure to tell me to buy lots of bread so we came prepared with not 1 but 2 loaves. And it is a good thing we did because we burned through it once again!

Our dear friends the Jones' came with and the kids were ecstatic to see Meg and Skylar. Meg was dividing out the bread here.
Melissa and I had to keep reminding the little ones to break off little pieces and through them in so the ducks don't choke and so the bread will go farther. They did pretty well but every now and again we would see some full pieces of bread go off floating in the water.
Calli has mastered the art of feeding the duck. Look at her arm posture. She is pretty much professional!

JJ and Meg were so cute and inseparable. As we were leaving he was so sad to say goodbye. He kept saying, "I really love Meg." It was so cute.
Lots of duckies came and appreciated their mid morning snack which thrilled the children.
Next stop was the bridge. AKA the tempter to climb up and scare mommy that you might jump in.
After the bread was gone we decided to head over to the park area and play for a while. Lots more friends met up with us and joined in on the fun and the picnic. I didn't get any pics because i was too busy chasing around my two crazies as they ran off in different directions constantly. Poor JJ slipped on the bars and banged his chin pretty hard. He has a nasty bruise but we are lucky he didn't cut it open. It was such a beautiful day and so fun playing with our friends. Can't wait until next Friday!
