My birthday wish came true!

I seriously had an AMAZING Birthday this year. I didn't think John would ever be able to top the surprise party he threw for me last year but some how he managed to do it. Ever since I have been pregnant I have really been craving a Cafe Rio salad. If you have never been there you are seriously missing out. If you live in a state that has one you should go at least once a week! There is no other place that compares. Anyway, I have been bugging him to bring one home for me every time he goes to Utah on business. We usually go to Utah every summer but with the baby coming in June we won't be going this year so I didn't know when I would be able to eat one again.

I told John I didn't want him to get me a present for my birthday since he got me so much for Christmas but of course he didn't listen and he gave me the BEST present ever!! He had my brother in law over night Cafe Rio to me. I could not believe it when the cooler was on my front porch and sure enough there were two cafe rio salads with my name on it. I was elated. They were still frozen so I dissected them and took the lettuce out and any ice chunks then re heated it in the oven and put new lettuce in and it was AMAZING!!! I ate the whole thing in one sitting. I was extremely full and a little sick for a couple of hours afterwards so I took a little snooze on the couch with my very full and satisfied belly. Thank you honey you are the BEST!!

John and Calli made me breakfast in bed while JJ and I were still sleeping. We had our traditional Swedish Pancakes. John has pretty much mastered them over the years. Calli sat in bed with me and shared mine then we went in the kitchen and had some more with JJ when he woke up. After breakfast we had a little snuggle fest on the couch before we had to get up and at em and get JJ off to preschool.

While JJ was at school and John was at work Calli and I decided to treat ourselves to a little girl pampering. We had some manicures. I told her we were going to go get our nails pretty so every time we stopped to run an errand she would say "no not here, want nails pretty!" It was pretty funny.
She knew right what to do when we got there. First she picked out what color she wanted and then she sat patiently on her chair waiting for her turn. She was so cute all the ladies were dying. They were thinking she might be difficult but oh no she sat perfectly still and when they finished the first hand she immediately started to blow it dry. They were dying with how she knew the process so well. That is my girl. I swear she is a DIVA in the making.
They were so sweet too and put a little extra on her and gave her some flowers. She has never had that before so she was pretty excited about that. I think they turned out so cute and stayed on pretty well for a couple of days.

They let her pick out what color of rhinestones she wanted and she picked out the blue ones.
Here are our finished manicures. We had such a great time and I look forward to many more trips to the salon and spa with this girl of mine!

After our manicures we picked up JJ from school and then ate some lunch got Calli down for her nap talked to some of my family and friends that called with birthday wishes and then John came home from work early and my parents came over to hang out for a couple of hours and eat dinner and they brought a delicious cake and ice cream.

They even brought some presents those stinkers. My mom got me just what I needed some pyrex bowls and a red fancy bowl. She know how much I love to cook and bake and I lost my other pyrex bowl so it was perfect.
JJ was so cute and so excited to take pictures of me opening my birthday presents. He couldn't find his "phone" (John's old iphone) so we had to wait until he could find it so he could take pictures of mommy. So sweet.

I know I look like I just turned 50 and not 31 in these pics but I am hoping it was either a bad day or that I am pregnant. :)

It was pretty cold and rainy so we decided to make chicken noodle soup and corn bread and mom made a yummy salad and delicious pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting and ice cream. The kids added their own touch with some sprinkles of course.

It truly was such a great day and so wonderful to be able to spend it with the people I love most!! Thank you everybody for making my birthday so special.

My friends were so sweet and took me out to Chili's a couple of days later too to celebrate. I have the greatest friends both near and far I appreciate you all so much. I hope this year will be as wonderful as last year was!
