Swimming in January??

Okay I have to say that it is day's like today that I LOVE living in Texas. It is January and over 70 degrees! What did we do we went to the zoo of course. We had such a great time even if we have been a million times.

We rode some elephants and got up close and personal with the Lions as they ate their lunch.
These are some pretty amazing creatures.
I love how cute Calli looks sandwiched in between the boys. It feels like yesterday that we first came to the zoo when she was just a few months old and slept through most of it. Now she is one of the big kids running around looking at everything. The other thing we did for the first time today was ride the monorail which was super cool. I can't believe we had never done it before. They had some pretty cool exhibits that you can only see from the train ride. I think we will definitely have to do that again.

And last but not least we did a little swimming in the kiddie pool at the playground. Normally I bring their bathing suits when we come in the Spring and in the Fall but I figured since it was January any swimming would be out of the question. I was wrong we got to this part around noon and it was plenty warm. The water was still freezing but the kids didn't seem to mind. They had such a ball, and we mom's enjoyed sitting back and watching them.
I know this warm weather isn't here to stay for too long but please come back and visit us soon!
