Annual Tucker Time

Every year we get to enjoy a visit from the Tuckers when Cole has his wrestling tournament in Dallas.  We sure love when they come for the weekend.  John was in school for the weekend of course so I told them to just leave the girls with us while they went with Cole to wrestling.  Of course they all woke up with excitement the next morning BEFORE the sun came out so I had them all climb in bed with me and we watched a movie and I geared up for my big day of entertaining.  I knew I would have to bring my A game to keep everyone happy and keep my home intact.

After movie time and breakfast we opened up the play dough and they went to town for like an hour creating away.  They were having so much fun and all getting along so well I was so happy and even getting some things down myself.

After the play dough was done there was some tramp time outside even though I thought it was too cold they thought it was awesome so they bounced away in the cold and rain for like an hour and finally came in after getting soaked.  So we dried off and broke out the art kits.  That kept them happy again for like an hour while they pretty much used a whole ream of paper.  Next they headed upstairs to play in the toy room until Dana and Julie and Cole came back around 2.  My kids were in heaven having their cousins here and they all played so well it was awesome.

They spent the night on Saturday and had fun playing some more on Sunday morning after our yummy Swedish pancake and bacon breakfast John made while he let me sleep in.  They had to head back home after Church.  :(  We love when they come for a visit.  Julie was so sweet and even took the kids out of school early on Friday so she could meet me at the Mall to help me pick out an outfit for a dinner date I had that night with John and his boss and wife at Eddie V's.  We had to many kids and not enough time to actually find something, so I threw on something I already had and called it good.  They were so nice to watch our kids for us while we went out.  We went to Dinner downtown so it was after midnight when I got home.  I am not used to being such a party animal!  But is was really fun to get to know them better and the food was DELICIOUS!  John even had a beautiful cake made for me since my birthday was just a few days before.  It was so rich and so good!  He is so sweet!  Such a fun weekend can't wait to see them again soon.
